Synopsis
Taare Zameen Par (2007):–Ishaan Awasthi is an eight-year-old whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate. Colours, fish, dogs, and kites don’t seem important to the adults, who are much more interested in things like homework, marks, and neatness. Ishaan cannot seem to get anything right in class; he is then sent to boarding school, where his life changes forever.
Ishaan Awasthi is a young boy with a vivid imagination but poor academic performance. Misunderstood by his teachers and parents, he is eventually sent to a boarding school. Here, his struggles deepen—until he meets Ram Shankar Nikumbh (played by Aamir Khan), a compassionate art teacher who recognizes Ishaan’s condition and helps him find his voice through art and patience.
Through Ishaan’s journey, the film explores themes of learning disabilities, parenting pressure, creativity, and the importance of understanding children’s emotions.
